Our members

Accord is a coalition of civil society organisations - trade unions, religious organisations, charities and campaigning groups. Our current members include:

atl_colour_logo.jpg The Association of Teachers and Lecturers is a leading education union, representing 160,000 teachers, lecturers, headteachers and support staff.
bha-happy-human-logo-type.jpg The British Humanist Association is the principal organisation representing the interests of ethically concerned but non-religious people living in the UK. It exists to promote Humanism and support and represent people who seek to live good lives without religious or superstitious beliefs, and has always taken an active interest in education and schools.
Ekklesia Ekklesia is an independent public policy think-tank seeking to examine the role of religion in a creatively critical way. It is rooted in the Christian tradition, but not tied to any one denomination or major church body.

Hindu Academy promotes Hinduism in the UK and works closely with many academic bodies locally and nationally. It is one of the key advisors on Hinduism to the Department of Children, Schools and Families, the Qualification and Curriculum Authority and the Religious Education Council of England and Wales.
lgcm-logo.gif The Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement is a UK-based international charity praying for an inclusive church.
sea-logo.jpg The Socialist Education Association is an independent socialist educational organisation, affiliated to the Labour Party. For 75 years until after the 1997 general election the S.E.A. was the Labour Party’s think tank on educational matters. Today, following the changes in the structures of the Labour Party, it is committed to working as a critical friend of the Labour Party.
waf.gif Women Against Fundamentalism is a feminist organisation which was launched in 1989 to challenge the rise of fundamentalism in all religions, when battle lines were being drawn simplistically between religious fundamentalists on one side and racists and liberals on the other, leaving no space for women’s voices. WAF includes women from across the world and from a wide range of backgrounds.

Accord is a growing organisation and we welcome new members. If your organisation is interested in joining the coalition please send an email to alex@accordcoalition.org.uk
